105. What does the colour coding on TrackAble mean?

On the Assessment Screen in TrackAble, pupil names are colour coded to give you a quick visual indication of how well each pupil is progressing against their targets. This allows staff to see at a glance whether a pupil is: Below target On target Above target

How Colour Coding Works

The colour shown next to a pupil’s name reflects how their current progress compares to their target.

The point at which colours change depends on the percentage thresholds set by your TrackAble Administrator.

Default Colour Thresholds in TrackAble

By default, TrackAble uses 10% thresholds. Using these settings, progress is displayed as follows:

  • 🔵 Blue
    10% or more above target

  • 🟢 Green
    Up to 10% above target

  • 🟠 Amber
    Up to 10% below target

  • 🔴 Red
    10% or more below target

When Colours May Differ

The colours you see may vary if your school has chosen to use custom thresholds instead of the default settings.

In addition:

  • If targets have not been set, pupil names will display in white

💡 If you’re unsure which thresholds your school is using, contact your TrackAble Administrator for clarification.

Why Colour Coding Is Useful

Colour coding helps you to:

  • Quickly identify pupils who may need support

  • Spot pupils exceeding expectations

  • Monitor progress trends without running reports
