98. Why can't I add more pupils to a star card?

The Add More Pupils button in a Star Card appears when a user has the correct permissions and the Star Card has not yet had any data entered. This feature allows staff to assess multiple pupils at the same time, helping to save time and reduce duplication.

User Permissions

The ability to add more pupils to a Star Card is controlled by your User Profile.

  • If you can see the Add More Pupils button, this feature has been enabled for your profile

  • If you are unsure whether you should have access, please contact your TrackAble Administrator

Only a TrackAble Administrator can turn this feature on or off.

When the “Add More Pupils” Button Appears

Once the feature is enabled by your administrator:

  • The Add More Pupils button will appear on new Star Cards only

  • A “new” Star Card is one that has never had any data entered

This prevents changes being made to assessments that already contain data.

Why the Button Might Not Be Visible

If you open what you believe is a new Star Card but cannot see the Add More Pupils button, it is likely that data has already been entered.

To check:

  1. Open the Star Card

  2. Click the History button

This will display any previously entered data, confirming that the Star Card is not new.
