96. How do I turn the rag status colour coding off?
TrackAble uses colour coding (RAG status) to provide an at-a-glance overview of how pupils are progressing against their targets. For schools that do not wish to use this visual indicator, TrackAble includes a setting that allows colour coding to be switched off.
What Is Colour Coding?
Colour coding highlights pupil progress on the assessment screen by showing whether a pupil is:
-
Below target
-
On target
-
Above target
This helps staff quickly identify progress trends without needing to open individual records.
Turning Colour Coding Off
If your school chooses not to use colour coding, it can be disabled by an administrator.
How to Turn Colour Coding Off
-
Go to Admin > Settings > Assessment
-
Locate the Colour Coding / RAG Status option
-
Switch the setting off
-
Click Save to apply the change
Once disabled, colour indicators will no longer appear on assessment screens.
Important Consideration – Matrix Report
Please be aware of the following before turning colour coding off:
-
The Matrix Report in TrackAble relies on colour coding
-
If colour coding is switched off, the Matrix Report will no longer be available
If your school uses the Matrix Report regularly, you may wish to keep colour coding enabled.
Who Can Change This Setting?
-
Only TrackAble Administrators can turn colour coding on or off
-
The setting applies across the whole school, not individual users
