73. How to set or amend multiple baselines at once?

TrackAble allows you to set multiple baselines for a pupil or class. This is useful when a pupil has a new starting point, for example after a significant break, transition, or reassessment. Baselines define a pupil’s starting point, and all progress is calculated forward from that point.

Setting Multiple Baselines

To add a baseline for a pupil or class:

  1. Open the Assessment Screen

  2. Click View Baselines in the top right-hand corner

  3. Enter the required baseline level(s)

  4. Select the correct academic year

  5. Click Submit at the bottom of the page

The baseline will now be saved and used as the starting point for progress.

Amending an Existing Baseline

If you need to amend a pupil’s baseline, this can be done from the same screen.

  1. Open the Assessment Screen

  2. Click View Baselines

  3. Select the new baseline level from the drop-down menu

TrackAble will then prompt you to clear the existing baseline and any progress data.

Why Levels Must Be Cleared

A baseline represents a pupil’s starting point, so they cannot have:

  • A previous baseline

  • Any progress data before the new baseline

For this reason, existing levels must be cleared before a new baseline can be applied.

Clearing Levels and Setting a New Baseline

  1. Click Clear Levels

  2. Wait for the “Please Wait” message to disappear

  3. Select the new baseline level from the drop-down menu

  4. Click Submit

⚠️ Important:
Selecting Clear Levels will permanently remove existing baseline and progress data. This action cannot be undone.
