[IEP](https://www.trackablehelp.com/trackable-knowledge-base/faqs?hsLang=en-gb#iep) # 52. Editing or Updating an IEP in TrackAble ## You can easily update an existing IEP whenever new information, progress notes or adjustments are required. Follow the steps below to quickly locate and edit any pupil’s IEP. #### **1. Open the IEP Module** 1. From the left-hand menu on the assessment screen, click **IEP**. 2. You will be taken to the **IEP Module**, where all existing IEPs are listed. ### What you’ll see - IEPs are displayed in **Date Added** order. - The most recent IEP appears at the top. - Depending on your permissions, you may see **all** IEPs or only those for pupils allocated to you. #### **2. Find the Pupil’s IEP** 1. Go to the **Search for a pupil** box on the right-hand side. 2. Type the first few letters of the pupil’s name. 3. Select the pupil from the list. 4. TrackAble will now display only that pupil’s IEPs. #### **3. Edit the IEP** 1. Next to the IEP you wish to update, click **Edit**. 2. You will now be able to update any relevant fields such as: - Focus areas - Targets - Strategies - Success criteria - Evaluation - Status Make any changes needed to keep the IEP current and reflective of the pupil’s progress. #### **4. Delete an IEP Target (If Required)** If a target needs to be removed (for example, it is no longer relevant): 1. Click the **Delete Target** icon next to the specific target. 2. Confirm the deletion when prompted. This action removes the target without deleting the full IEP. #### **5. Save Your Changes** When you have finished updating the IEP: 1. Scroll to the bottom of the page. 2. Click **SAVE**.
