46. How to Enable a Spiky Profile for a Pupil or Class in TrackAble
A Spiky Profile allows TrackAble to recognise progress made across multiple levels—even when a pupil has not fully completed an entire level. This provides a more accurate picture of attainment for pupils who make uneven or partial progress across different areas. You can enable Spiky Profiles for individual pupils or entire classes.
What Is a Spiky Profile?
Normally, TrackAble displays a pupil’s level based on the highest fully completed level (e.g., P4 + 50%).
With a Spiky Profile:
-
TrackAble counts all completed progress, even across different levels
-
This gives a more representative view for pupils who make progress unevenly
-
Particularly useful for pupils working within several levels at once
For example, if a pupil has:
-
10% progress in P6
-
5% in P7
TrackAble will add these to their level progress, e.g., P4 + 65% rather than just P4 + 50%.
When enabled, a spike icon appears next to the pupil or class name.
