40. How to Log In and Log Out of TrackAble

 TrackAble is a secure online system accessed through your web browser. To ensure smooth and secure access, follow the guidance below on logging in, resetting your password, and logging out correctly.

Supported Web Browsers

TrackAble works on all major browsers except Internet Explorer.
Recommended browsers include:

  • Google Chrome

  • Microsoft Edge

  • Mozilla Firefox

  • Safari (Mac/iPad)

 

How to Log In to TrackAble

1. Open Your School’s TrackAble URL

Your school’s unique login address looks like:

nameofyourschool.trackableforschools.org.uk

2. Check You Are on the Correct School Site

The school name appears above the email address field on the login page.
Ensure it matches your school before entering credentials.

 

If You’re a New User or Need to Reset Your Password

If you have:

  • Never logged into TrackAble before, or

  • Forgotten your password

…you will need to reset your password.

Steps to Reset Your Password

  1. Click Forgotten Your Password?

  2. Enter your email address.

  3. Click Send Password Reset Link.

TrackAble will email you a reset link.

Important Notes About the Reset Email

  • The reset link expires after 10 minutes, so act promptly.

  • If the email lands in Spam/Junk, move it to your inbox—otherwise the link may not work.

  • Each user must have their own individual login to meet Data Protection Act principles.

Setting Your New Password

Click the link in the email, then:

  1. Enter your email address.

  2. Enter your new password twice.

  3. Save the changes.

You can now log in normally.

 

How to Log Out of TrackAble

To safely end your session:

  1. Click Logout at the top-right corner of the page.

Automatic Logout

TrackAble has a built-in security timeout.
If no activity is detected for 20 minutes, you will be logged out automatically.

This helps protect sensitive pupil data and prevents unauthorised access.

 

Troubleshooting Tips

✔ Can’t log in?
Check spelling, correct school URL, and ensure cookies are enabled.

✔ Didn’t receive a reset email?
Check Spam/Junk. If still not found, ask your IT team to whitelist TrackAble emails.

✔ Locked out after multiple attempts?
Wait a few minutes before retrying or reset your password.
