33. How to Copy an IEP in TrackAble

If you have an IEP that is similar (or identical) for more than one pupil, TrackAble allows you to copy the IEP so you don’t need to re-enter all the information manually. This saves time and helps maintain consistency across pupils with similar needs.

When to Use Copy IEP

Copying an IEP is useful when:

  • Multiple pupils require the same strategies or objectives

  • You are creating class or group IEPs based on a shared plan

  • You want to reuse an IEP structure and adjust the details for another pupil

How to Copy an Existing IEP

Follow these steps to copy an IEP to another pupil:

1. Locate the IEP you want to copy

Go to the pupil’s record and find the IEP you wish to duplicate.

2. Open the Copy Function

  1. Click the down arrow next to the Edit button.

  2. Select Copy.

3. Assign the IEP to a New Pupil

  • Update the Pupil Name to the pupil you want to assign the copied IEP to.

  • Review and adjust any details that need personalisation (e.g., targets, strategies, review dates).

4. Save the New IEP

When you are happy with the changes:

  • Scroll to the bottom of the page.

  • Click Save.

The new IEP will now appear under the selected pupil’s record.
