30. How to Change the Colour of Stars in TrackAble

TrackAble now allows schools to customise the colours of stars on the assessment screen, making assessment visuals clearer and more aligned with your school’s preferences. You can choose from 10 available colours, and each star within an assessment framework can have a different colour. This feature can help you visually differentiate star levels or align them to familiar colour coding (e.g., RAG, ability bands, or curriculum themes).

How Star Colour Customisation Works

  • Colours are set per assessment framework.

  • You can create unique colour schemes for each framework—for example:

    • Framework A: Red, Amber, Green

    • Framework B: All Blue

    • Framework C: Different colours for each star

  • Colours appear instantly on the assessment screen after saving.

 

How to Change Star Colours

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Go to Admin.

  2. Select the Assessment Framework you want to edit.

  3. Locate each Star Name within the framework.

  4. Choose your preferred colour from the dropdown next to each star.

  5. Once finished, click Save Assessment Framework.

Your new star colours will now be displayed throughout the assessment screens for that framework.
