Adding descriptions to your star levels helps staff understand what each star represents when marking assessments. These descriptions appear as tooltips when hovering over star names, giving teachers clear guidance while assessing pupils. This guide shows you how to add or update star descriptions within your assessment frameworks.
Where to Add Star Descriptions

Go to Admin.

Select Assessment Frameworks.

Click My List.

Open the framework you want to edit.
You will see a text box where you can add or update the star description.
How to Add a Star Description

In the chosen assessment framework, locate the Star Description text box.

Type the description you want teachers to see.

This could explain the criteria, expectations, or meaning behind each star level.

Click Save Assessment Framework.
Once saved, the description becomes visible to staff.
How the Description Appears to Staff
After saving:

Teachers can hover over the star name on the Assessment screen.
